Lets share some secrets

What Secret lies Behind a Beautiful Face?

We use plenty of different criteria to evaluate whether someone is beautiful or not, and those same criteria can work for or against us when others are determining whether they see us as beautiful. The first reason people perceive someone as beautiful is obviously natural beauty. Natural beauty cannot entirely be replicated by good management or plastic surgery. Many actresses and models have pretty faces, but they often spoil them with the use of intensive man-made cosmetic products that often work against their main purpose and even seem to destroy these women's features.

Sometimes, these effects are not immediately obvious, and for most of us a small amount of makeup is an asset. Most of us only put on makeup on special occasions once or twice a week, or maybe a month, and this does not damage our skin as extensively as compared to those who put it on almost every other night.

Wear make up in healthy ways

If you look at an actress or model without her daily dose of cosmetic products, you would barely recognize her. This is because man-made cosmetic products contain lots of chemicals and substances that, even though they provide temporary beauty, in the long term tend to destroy the freshness and health of your skin. So, how can you wear makeup in healthy ways?

Limit yourself:

First, limit yourself to wearing makeup only "sometimes." If you must absolutely apply make up to your face, do not do it so often. Take a break every so often; anything done to excess can be damaging for your self esteem, and makeup is no exception. If you need to apply skin care products, try to use products made from herbal solutions that are proven to be mild and beneficial. Because herbal products contain natural ingredients, they often pose fewer risks of creating side effects that might be damaging for your skin.

Wash your face regularly:

Second, in order to bring about true beauty on your face, you must also wash it every day in the morning and evening, and more often if you tend to sweat or are under a lot of stress. If you are at work, and feel that you are tired of sitting before the monitor for such long hours, just get up and go wash your face thoroughly with a mild facial soap. Before eating, when you go to wash your hands, wash your face, too. Just make sure that you provide ample cleansing to your face and compensate for the washing by applying moisturizer (or a moisturizing sunscreen) once or twice a day.

More cleansing plus more moisturizing is better than under-cleansing because frequent washing is important to remove dirt, dead skin, and toxins that damage skin's healthy glow. Be especially careful to moisturize before sleep every night to ensure soft skin and a more attractive look in the morning.

Morning walk is necessary:

Third, a walk every morning and evening can have dramatic and surprising improvements for the skin. Because so many skin problems result from stress, mentally refreshing yourself in the morning can benefit your skin indirectly. Even more importantly, because your skin literally "breathes" by taking in oxygen throughout the day. A morning walk will also help begin the day right for your skin by allowing it to take in pollution free air and get a few minutes of healthy sun exposure before the workday.

Take a balanced diet:

Fourth, your diet should also be well balanced, as an improper diet is an extremely common factor in common skin problems. Your skin needs to be nourished internally by a healthy diet as well as externally by nutrient-rich creams, and eating too much junk food can cause problems like spots and skin discoloration.

Beautiful Faces

Characteristics of Beautiful Faces

What is it that makes a face look beautiful?

What are the differences between very attractive and less appealing faces?

For every historical period and every human culture, people have always had their own ideal of beauty. But this ideal has never been constant and is still subject to changes. In our research project we adopted an empirical approach and created prototypes for unattractive and attractive faces for each sex by using the morphing technique. For example, the prototype for an unattractive face ("unsexy face") was created by blending together four faces that had previously been rated as very unattractive. The "sexy face" was created by blending together four of the most attractive faces, respectively (see report). In order to find out the characteristic differences between attractive and unattractive faces, we presented pairs of one "sexy" and one "unsexy" image for both sexes to test subjects. The task was to report which facial features were perceived to be different between the two faces. For the results see the list below.

Characteristic features of the female "sexy face" in comparison to the "unsexy face":

1.Suntanned skin

2.Narrower facial shape

3.Less fat

4.Fuller lips

5.Slightly bigger distance of eyes

6.Darker, narrower eye brows

7.Mo7.re, longer and darker lashes

8.Hig8.her cheek bones

9.Nar9.rower nose

10.No eye rings

11.Thinner lids

Characteristics of the male "Sexy face" in the comparison to the "unsexy face":

1.Browner skin

2.Narrower facial shape

3.Less fat

4.Fuller and more symmetrical lips

5.Darker eye brows

6.More and darker lashes

7.Upper half of the face broader in relation to the lower

8.Higher cheek bones

9.Prominent lower jaw

10.More prominent chin

11.No receding brows

12.Thinner lids No wrinkles between nose and corner of the mouth

Prevent Premature Skin Aging and Minimize Wrinkles

Despite what many women think, skin aging doesn’t have to take place rapidly as you get older. In fact, premature wrinkles can often be prevented with simple skin aging preventative tips. Whether you’re biggest skin concern is discoloration, sun spots or wrinkles, there are things you can do to reverse your current skin damage and prevent more premature skin aging from occurring.

Top five tips

Use these top five tips to help you learn how to get younger looking skin, now!

Be Smart And Use Sunscreen

The easiest way you can protect your skin from aging prematurely is to stay out of the sun. However, unless you’re a vampire staying out of the sun is pretty much impossible! So, instead of becoming a recluse who only comes out at night, be smart and wear sunscreen. The rays of the sun emit harmful UV light waves, which can not only cause your skin to redden but can also cause wrinkles or skin cancer. Carcinoma and melanoma are some of the most common cancers detected today, which is why wearing sunscreen every day is an absolute must.

Use a hat

Wear A Hat Or SunglassesEven if you do as you should and wear sunscreen, you may start noticing fine lines around your eyes due to the fact you might have a habit of squinting in the sun. To prevent these lines, simply wear a hat or sunglasses each time you’re outdoors. This will discourage you from squinting and getting unnecessary wrinkles at the corners of your eyes.

Moisturize Often:

Every time you wash your face! One key to having smooth and supple skin is to use moisturizer. Be sure to moisturize at least once in the morning and once at night. However, in the winter months when the weather is drier, you may need to moisturize more often. It’s a good idea to choose a light moisturizer for summer and spring and a thicker moisturizer for the fall and winter months.

Keep An Eye On Nutrition:

Junk Food in Moderation:Proper nutrition is meant to keep your body healthy but it can also have an impact on your skin. One of the most important things if you want great skin is Vitamin A, which can be found in many dairy products. Some foods also minimize the damage from free radicals, like berries. While most skin care experts agree junk food doesn’t cause skin problems, if you limit sugar and fat in your diet, you’ll definitely see healthier overall results in your total health.

Selection of Beauty products

Choose Smart Beauty Products that Pamper and Protect SkinWhile you may be leaning on your current makeup to only cover up unsightly liver spots or blemishes, if you choose smart products you’ll be able to get so much more from each product you choose to use. Smart products are those which contain ingredients not only meant to beautify you but also meant to give you an extra perk or two. Many include SPF protection, which is important for everyday wear. Others contain anti-aging ingredients you can benefit from each day you apply makeup. By using combo smart products, you’ll save money and time! It’s much easier to work on preventing signs of aging skin than it is to treat wrinkles after they’ve formed. By taking a proactive stand and learning how to prevent premature skin aging, you can enjoy beautiful skin all throughout your life.

Home Manicure Tips:

Are you tired of spending thousands of dollars each year at the nail salon? If you’re like most of the country budgets are tighter than ever. To compensate for high gas prices and the rising cost of food, tanning and massages salons are seeing a decline in customers due to the economy. In addition, many women are forgoing their weekly trip to their professional nail technician and are doing their nails at home. However, knowing how to properly buff and prepare their nails can be a challenge. If not done correctly, you can actually damage your nails. So, take a look at these easy steps and learn the correct way to buff nails.

Use Salon Products and Tools

There are thousands of nail products on the market today and knowing which tools you need to properly buff your nails can be tricky. However, if you visit your local beauty store you will need to pick up only a few products. First, a handheld nail buffer is essential on your list of supplies. These look similar to emery boards; however they have several different colored panels and appear more like a foam block. You may also want to grab a few bottles of colored polish or OPI polish in French white if you’d like to give yourself a French manicure.

Before Filing or Buffing…..

Before you start filing away at your nails, there are a few things you should do first. Be sure to remove all old polish with a gentle finger nail polish remover. Look for those without acetone for the gentlest results. After getting rid of the polish, soak your hands in warm soapy water for ten minutes. This will soften your nails and skin to allow you to not only buff your nails better but also remove the unwanted cuticle areas. You can make your own homemade hand spa by filling a large bowl with warm water and adding a small amount of scented bath oil to the water. After soaking your hands, be sure to dry them completely. t colored panels and appear more like a foam block. You may also want to grab a few bottles of colored polish or OPI polish in French white if you’d like to give yourself a French manicure.

Buff Nails the Right Way

To begin, grab your nail buffer and file your nails as you normally would (rounded, square or oval). With the roughest side of the buffer, start to buff your nails. Use a gently side-to-side motion when doing this. The main purpose of this phase is to smooth out any major ridges your nails may have. Next, use the next roughest side of your buffer and repeat the process. This will further work any ridges out of your nail area. To finish the buffing phase, utilize the smoothest part of the buffer to polish your nails until they shine.

Be sure not to be too rough when you are using the first few sides of the buffer. These are meant to only be used gently on the nails. Being too aggressive can lead to a split or chip in the nail, which is almost always difficult to repair properly.

Tips for Professional Salon Results

After you’ve successfully buffed your nails, consider taking your homemade manicure to the next level. Grab your favorite lotion (with or without sun block) and a pair of clean cotton gloves (socks will work if you don’t have gloves). Lather your hands in the lotion, put them into the gloves and wait for ten minutes. When you pull your hands out, wash and dry them well. You will find they are incredibly natural and soft! Be sure to wipe your nails well, apply a top coat of polish and begin painting them in your desired color. Allow the first coat of polish to set and apply another thin coat. Finish with a top coat and allow it to dry.As you can see, getting beautiful nails doesn’t necessarily require an expensive trip to the salon. So, instead of spending money on artificial acrylic nails this season, consider taking the natural route and doing your nails and toe nails yourself at home!

14 Beauty Tips for Teens

Being a teen in today's world brings many pressures from society to look good. The media is full of beautiful faces that add to the stress of growing up. Don't let that undermine your self-confidence! What's a girl to do? There are many ways to enhance your natural beauty and keep a practical skin care and makeup routine. These tips will help bring out the best in you. But remember, good posture and a smile give a great first impression

1. Skip the foundation If you have acne the first thing you want to do is slather on the thick foundation. Don't. Foundation is for women over 35. Not only will it cover up your natural beauty, but foundation on a teenager looks anything but natural. Instead, cover up blemishes with concealer, then follow with a powder or tinted mosturizer. Tinted moisturizers tend to be lighter than heavy foundations.

2. You pat concealer in, you never rub it in We know this from watching the Tyra Banks show. When applying concealer, put a bit on the pad of your middle finger and pat it in. Never rub. Got acne? Pat the concealer on top of it.

3. Play up your lips or your eyes, never both If you are wearing heavy eye makeup, go for nude lips with just a bit of gloss. Prefer the drama of dark lipstick? Keep face light (stay away from heavy blush) and wear only mascara on your eyes and a light eyeshadow. Don't heavily line your eyes. Play up both and you'll look like a clown.

And never, ever line lips in a darker color than your gloss or lipstick.

4. Less is more Ever notice how some of your friends look best with no makeup at all? No matter your age, too much makeup makes you look worse. If you wear foundation, powder, blush, liner, mascara, eyeshadow, lip liner and gloss on an everyday basis, then you're overdoing it. Tone it down: All you really need is a great mascara, concealer for blemishes and gloss. Add a pop of blush in winter.

5. Natural hair is always hot If you have super dark hair, lighten your look by going a shade darker or getting lighter highlights. Blonde? Try highlights, especially framing the face. We see too many teens lightening their hair several shades and the look can be super-tacky, not super-fabulous. The trick is to let people assume you were born with sun-kissed hair, not that you gave yourself a bad dye job from a bottle. More hair color tips here.

6. Vaseline is your best friend Vaseline is a great, cheap eye makeup remover. It's also great for fixing chapped, scaly lips. Slather on a bunch of Vaseline, then use a toothbrush to massage lips. Wipe the excess off on a tissue. Your lips will be smooth and soft.

7. You can never go wrong with layers Long layers are great for any hair type: Super curly, straight or wavy. It makes thin hair appear thicker, curly hair appear manageable and wavy hair appear just-got-back-from-the-beach sexy. Just make sure you don't get too many layers cut in. Too many short layers is dated.

8. Acne? Get thee to a dermatologist, stat Biggest mistake people with acne make? Not going to a dermatologist. Forget those $150 jeans you covet. Getting rid of those pimples will be the best investment you'll ever make. And the only guaranteed way to do it is with a dermatologist.

9. Spend money on key beauty products Not sure what to splurge on and what to save on? I give you the scoop in this article. See if you should splurge or save on cleansers, mascara, concealer and more.

10. Buying foundation or lipstick? Test it first There are some beauty products you simply must try out at a department store or Sephora before you buy. These include: Foundation, lipstick, blush and powder.

Buy these products in a grocery store and you'll be lucky if you picked the right color for your skin tone. What you can get away with without testing: Mascara, eye liner, most basic eye shadows and lip gloss.

11. When can you skip sunscreen ? Never Here's a trick we wish we knew: The first beauty product you should apply every day is sunscreen, even if it's cloudy or rainy outside. Why? Good habits start young and if you use sunscreen now, you'll have gorgeous skin when you're 50, 60, 70. Remember, the sun's UV rays can penetrate clouds and car windows.

12. Wrapping hair around the barrel creates waves There's nothing cooler than long, layered waves. To get them, wind hair AROUND the barrel of a large curling iron. Reverse direction for each 2-inch section (wind up for one, down for another).

13. Self-tanner will always stink Unfortunately, even the best ones smell. Your best bet is to apply self-tanner a good 24 hours before an important event and take a shower (don't loofah) to wash off any smell. For really big events like a dance or wedding, consider a professional spray tan. These are pricey and don't last long, so make sure to do it a day before the big event.

14. Don't let nails go Not into manicures and pedicures? No worries. Just make sure to keep nails clean and the same length. If you do want to paint them, don't keep the polish on until half of it's chipped away. Also, there's nothing worse than too-long toenails. Keep nails clipped between pedicures! People tend to judge others by the care they put into their hands and feet.

Using and applying a night cream should be an integral part of your skin care routine once you reach 30s. Night creams are specially designed to nourish and improve your skin while you sleep as these creams contain lots of nourishing, moisturizing active ingredients. Night creams or serums are especially beneficial for those past 30 as their skin begins to show the first signs of aging – fine lines appear, the skin becomes drier and less elastic, skin begins to look dull and patchy.
